Decorative Painting & Specialty Finishes in El Paso
Venetian plaster, glazing, faux finishes and custom applications — hand-applied work for walls that are meant to be noticed.

Finish work, not ordinary wall painting
A specialty finish is applied by hand, in layers, and the result depends entirely on the person holding the trowel or brush. There is no roller technique that produces it. This is the part of the trade where decades of practice show most clearly.
Venetian plaster
A troweled, burnished finish that builds depth through multiple thin layers. Depending on how it's worked and sealed, it can read as soft and matte or polished with a stone- like sheen. It suits entryways, feature walls, dining rooms and commercial lobbies where a flat painted wall would fall short.
Faux finishes
Faux work imitates another material or creates depth on a flat surface — aged plaster, stone, linen, suede and similar effects. Bellagio-style troweled finishes fall into this family and remain a popular request. Each is built to the room, since the effect depends on the color palette, the lighting and the scale of the wall.
Glazing
A translucent glaze applied over a base coat adds tone and movement without changing the color outright. It's a subtle technique — often used to warm up a large wall, add dimension to trim and cabinetry, or soften a room that reads too flat.
Custom paint and specialty textures
Beyond named techniques, a lot of decorative work is simply custom: matching an existing finish elsewhere in the home, developing a color and texture combination for one specific wall, or reproducing a look a client brings in as a reference. Sample boards are the normal starting point so you can see the finish before it goes on the wall.
How decorative work fits a project
Specialty finishes usually accompany a broader interior painting project in a home or a commercial space. Because these finishes reveal every flaw underneath, drywall and surface preparation matter even more than they do with standard paint.
